Best of 2013 : Music Edition

Hi guys,

If you don't already know that I am a complete music junkie. I range out in my taste of music and I listen to many different genres of music. So instead of doing a best of 2013 beauty post, I thought I would change it up and do a Best of 2013 : Music Edition post. I have listened to so much music this year and I am definitely more qualified to give a music review than a beauty review of the year. I hope you enjoy this last blog post of the year. NOTE: These are not listed in any chronological order.

1. Native - OneRepublic

I much anticipated the release of OneRepublic's third album Native because I have been a fan of theirs since the beginning. Some of my favorites on their album are "I Lived", "Counting Stars", and "If I Loose Myself". This is a great album all together and I was lucky to get this for Christmas from my little sister who knew I had been listening to it on repeat nonstop on YouTube. I was even had fortune of seeing them live, which if I may say so was pretty spectacular, they sound as good live as they do on the soundtrack which is a rare entity now days.

2. Yours Truly - Ariana Grande

I absolutely adore Ariana Grande's voice and her style is just so perfect (but that is not the reason I love the album). The album features collaborations  with artist such as Nathan Sykes ( The Wanted), Leon Thomas, Mika, Big Sean, and Mac Miller. Her some Mariah Carey-esc vocals make the track addictive and very easy to listen. This is the perfect girly album I have been searching for.

3. Midnight Memories - One Direction

I absolutely love One Direction yes I know there are many people who think other wise about the band but I say differently. The guys sweet harmonies on the tracks make this album a must listen too. I love song such a "Happily", "Through the Dark", "Midnight Memories", "Story of My Life", and "Best Song Ever". If you haven't listened to this album, please do yourself a favor and listen to it, even my mom and dad who don't particularly care for One Direction said they actually like some of the songs on this album.

4. The 1975 - The 1975

The 1975 self titled album is one to listen to if you haven't already listened to. Some of my favorite songs on the album are "The City" and "Chocolate". I mean how could anybody not love a song with the title of chocolate. I found out about the 1975 through one of my favorite YouTubers MissGlamorazzi who raved about them every month on her monthly favorites videos.

5. Bad Blood - Bastille

Okay so if you have been keeping up with my blog you will know I absolutely love Bastille. I have been posting about them nonstop putting the album Bad Blood in my Stocking Stuffers Under $20 and November Favorites posts. If you like alternative, lyrical, story telling music this is the album for you. Lead singer Dan Smith's raspy vocals make it impossible not to fall in love with the album. He even wrote every song on the album which I think is completely amazing. My favorite song which I have been listening to nonstop is "Flaws".

XOXO,

What I got for Christmas and MY BIRTHDAY!!

Hi guys,

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas,. Christmas for me is not only just another day of opening up presents during the year but the only day I get to open presents during the year because it is my birthday too. I am writing this blog post out of pure amusement and not to show off with what I got.

From Santa:
So Santa obviously knows me pretty well because this year he got me the Fault In Our Stars by John Green, which I have been wanting for forever. I have already started reading it and think I'm going to be in love with it. In my stocking I got a box of Stash Earl Grey tea which I have been loving because when you steep it smells just like Fruit Loops. I also got a bunch of chocolate which is nice since I ran out of advent calendar chocolate.

Christmas:
I was very spoiled this Christmas. But I cannot thank my family and friends for all the thoughtful gifts they gave me this Christmas.

From my mom and dad I got some superhero leggings that I have wanted for literally forever. I also got a Minnie Mouse sweatshirt since I absolutely adore Minnie Mouse, a purple plaid shirt from American Eagle since I have been asking for a new one, a pair of super soft and fluffy pjs with owls on them.

From my lovely little sister I received One Direction tattoos which I don't know if I will actually every use them but I thought they were a great gag gift that made me laugh. She also gave me the One Direction Midnight Memories ultimate edition which included a little book with hand written note from the boys and the Midnight Memories album. She gave me the OneRepublic Native album which I am completely in love with too.

From my uncles I got the Naked 2 palette from Urban Decay which was a major thing on my wishlist this Christmas.

From my other uncle I got a new laptop battery since before I had to keep my charger in my laptop at all times to keep it on.

From my cousin I received a blue jean top with white detailing and peach 3/4 length top. She also gave me a very cute card explaining that I was getting Luella's Guide to English Style a book I have been dying to get my hands on, but the shipping had taken longer than she expected it would.

From a family friend I got a MAC makeup brush set which I was so happy to receive because I have been wanting some MAC makeup brushes of my own for a very long time. She also gave me the Origins Ginger Float Bubble Bath and some fake lashes from Daiso. I got two gorgeous eyeshadow palettes from Clinique too.

Birthmas Gifts:
What is Birthmas you ask well this is gifts that are both my birthday and Christmas since they were just to great to be ordinary Christmas gifts.

From my uncle I got a Kindle Fire which is amazing since I have been wanting a tablet/iPod Touch thingy.

From my uncle I got the Clarisonic Mia 2 which I didn't even ask for but he knows I have been eying it for sometime now. I have been using it since Christmas Eve when I opened it and I absolutely love it and will be writing a review on once I have used it more.

From a really close friend I got a NYX eye collection gift which I thought was great because I have never owned any NYX products but heard great reviews about them so I was curious to try them all out ASAP.

Birthday Gifts:
From my mom and dad I got a an American Eagle floral dress which I think is so adorable. A sterling silver, rose gold, and gold chain braided necklace; and blue and purple fresh water pearl earring which I think are absolutely gorgeous.

All in all this Christmas and birthday were a great one and I am so thankful for all the gifts I received. I just want to say again that I am writing this blog post out of pure amusement and not gloat about what I got. Thank you for reading and I hope you had a wonderful holiday. Blogmas & November Favorites

Hi Guys,

So it is now December that means its time for Blogmas 2013. I am so excited to share my all the fun adventures with you up to the day of christmas. During Blogmas I will be posting DIYs, hauls, gift ideas, makeup looks, and much much more. I am so excited and cant wait to show you guys the stuff I have planned. So I thought the perfect way to start off Blogmas was with my November favorites because it recaps November all in one little blog post and leads us straight into December.

Beauty
First things first I have been loving the Revlon Lip Butter in Raspberry Pie. It is a darker berry pink which is I think perfect for the fall and winter time. It very pigmented which I was a little surprised by because they are described as more on the lip balm side rather than a lipstick. But I still love this product nonetheless.

I got the Clinique Quickliner for Eyes Intense in "09 ebony" in a sample bag of products when Clinique was having a promo. I absolutely love this eyeliner because it will only smudge when you first put it on and then it is doesn't smudge all day long, which is great if you have oily eyelids like me.

The Clinique High Impact mascara in "01 black" has been a favorite of mine for a while now. I can say it is honestly one of the best mascaras I have ever used. It defines everyone of my lashes and makes them so much longer.

Bath & Body

Recently I have been loving the "The FabPore Facial Peel" from Soap & Glory.  This mask leaves my skin bright, glowing, and having shrunken pores which is very nice since I can sometimes have very dull skin and rather large pores. But I find the name a little misleading because it is not a facial peel but more of a lathering face mask. But that doesn't stop me from loving this facial mask and thinking it is a great product overall.

Vaseline Cocoa Radiant lotion is a skin savior during these skin drying winter months. It repairs skin with cocoa butter and strays 3 TM. It says it penetrates skins top, core, and deep down layers to leave skin with a glowing look. I love this lotion so much and it even smells a little like chocolate because of the cocoa butter which is a plus.

I came across the Neutrogena Acne Stress Control Power Cream Wash only by accident, when I was in desperate need of a new face wash, but I am so glad I did. This product contains salicylic acid, and "skin-smoothers" such a green tea and cucumber, to soften the appearance of skin and reduce redness. It also has "MicroClear Technology" which is supposed to boost the delivery of acne medication to your skin's problematic areas. I can say from using this product for months that I absolutely love this product. It has  reduced the size of my pores and kept my acne a lot more manageable.

I also got the Clinique All About Eyes Rich cream in the sample bag. I have owned the Clinique All About Eyes cream also but I like this one better because is more intense and I can trust it will keep the dark circles I can have under my eyes away for good while I have this on. This is one product I would definitely recommend buying if you have dark circles.

Food & Drink

Clif Crunch Chocolate Chip bars are a new obsession of mine because they taste so yummy and and keep me fuller longer. They contain 3g of protein, 1 serving of daily organic whole grains, and are 70% organic. They taste just like a oatmeal chocolate chip cookie rather than just another granola bar making it easier to eat healthy. They also come in 5 other flavors such as blueberry crisp, chocolate peanut butter, honey oat, peanut butter, and white chocolate macadamia.

Bigelow's Cozy Chamomile Tea is a must have for these winter months, it is naturally sweet and has   a light floral note. Tea has so many amazing properties to keep your body healthy which just makes it all the easier to drink. This one especially helps with tummy cramps and is great for relaxing and cozying up during those cold winter months.

Fitness

This month I started using the "NTC" (Nike Training Club) app again. This app is so simple and easy to use. It keeps track of how many minutes you have worked out, saves workouts you like and have recently done, has celebrity athlete workouts, and instructional videos. The app also has features an audio instructor who motivates and leads you through the exercises and a rewards program fueled on the minutes you have earned working out. The app is great for all levels beginner, intermediate, and advanced. This is an overall great workout app for anyone who is looking for a great simple way of working out for free.

On the days I have been wanting an easier workout I have been doing the Pop Physique workout video I found via the POPSUGAR Fitness YouTube page. This workout is a mix between ballet, Pilates, and light weight work blended into one workout. It is a total body workout that is so much fun to do. Click on the link below to try the workout for yourself.

Music

This month I have absolutely been loving "Pompeii" by Bastille it is such a great dance song with chanting that gives it a very chill vibe. This is a song that will get stuck in your head in no time, if it isn't already.  Another song I have been completely obsessed with is "Home" by Gabrielle Aplin. The combination of her amazing vocals and simple guitar playing make this song such a joy for the ears and will have you hooked in no time. If you would like to listen to either of the song click on the links below.

Unfavorite

I bought the Neutrogena SkinClearing Blemish Concealer hoping it would cover up my acne and keep my skin from breaking out. While it did keep my skin from breaking out it gave only a very sheer coverage to my problematic areas and when it set left a caky appearance on my skin.

sadly I dont have a picture

Thanks for reading and come back tomorrow for another Blogmas post.
